The application scenario requires display technology to achieve excellent color performance, efficient operation, and elegant wearable design in extremely small packaging sizes. The breakthrough of VEGALEDTM is reflected in its ultra compact RGGB (red, green, green, blue) LED specially developed for smart glasses micro displays, which can present realistic skin tones, vivid textures, and virtual objects that can be indistinguishable from reality, gradually blurring the boundary between reality and virtuality.
VEGALEDTM integrates four independent addressing chips of red, green, green, and blue into a single package, achieving excellent light mixing effect and uniform display performance. All four chips can be independently addressed, which is a key prerequisite for adapting LCoS imagers. Its compact design is optimized for space sensitive applications, with high energy efficiency characteristics that can extend battery life and reduce heat generation, achieving a thinner and lighter design without the need for additional heat dissipation devices. The smart glasses created in this way are not only technologically advanced, but also have a stylish appearance and comfortable wearing experience, which is sufficient to meet daily use needs. The packaging size of this multi-color LED launched by AMS Osram is only 2.7mm2 × 3.05mm2, with extremely small chip spacing, which helps improve system design efficiency. The typical values of the main wavelengths are 460nm, 525nm, and 615nm. The typical values of VEGALEDTM's luminous flux are: 23lm for red light, 70lm for green light, and 175mW for blue light, ensuring high brightness performance even in strong outdoor environments.
