12V lithium battery management solution accelerates the safety upgrade of automotive electrification
Against the backdrop of accelerating global automotive electrification, the 12V low-voltage power supply system, as an important component of vehicle energy management, is increasingly valued by the industry for its reliability, safety, and intelligence level. The "12V Lithium Battery Management Solution" that won this award is an innovative achievement launched by Shiping around this trend. This solution is designed based on NXP's S32K312 MCU, MC33772C AFE, and FS2303B SBC chips, featuring high-precision sampling, intelligent equalization management, and multiple hardware protection functions.
The solution supports real-time monitoring of 4-channel lithium iron phosphate single cells, with voltage acquisition error not exceeding ± 2mV and current measurement error controlled within 2%. At the same time, the solution has built-in hardware charging and discharging overcurrent protection function, supporting diagnostic information reporting, high-precision SOC estimation (with an error of less than 5%), and 300mA passive balancing, significantly improving the overall performance and reliability of battery management. In addition, through precise charge and discharge management and real-time thermal management mechanisms, the balanced charging of each individual battery in the battery pack is effectively ensured, thereby greatly optimizing the efficiency and cycle life of the battery.

In terms of safety, this design fully complies with the ISO 26262 functional safety standard, reaching the ASIL-B level, and can be widely used in automotive start stop power supplies, low-voltage auxiliary batteries, and redundant power management systems, providing solid guarantees for vehicle energy efficiency and safety.
