(NYSE stock code: VSH) announced that Vishay Ametherm SL2220007 bigAMP Surge Limiting Negative Temperature Coefficient (NTC) thermistor has obtained UL certification. UL Solutions validated the safety performance of SL2220007 thermistor according to File E209153, Volume 1, and found that it meets the strict requirements of the UL mark.

SL2220007 has a steady-state current of 7 A, while ensuring durability, reliability, and long-term performance, making it particularly suitable for use in switching power supplies, AC motors, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), industrial inverters, and variable frequency drives. When the device is powered on, the thermistor absorbs high surge currents to protect the circuit. Under steady-state current, the high initial resistance rapidly decreases to a negligible level, and the device has an energy absorption capacity of 125 J and a voltage processing capacity of 265 VRMS, while reducing power consumption.

SL2220007, which has obtained UL certification, can now provide samples and has achieved mass production.
