(NYSE: VSH) today announced the release of the TSM41, a new series of industrial-grade, multi-turn surface-mount metal-ceramic trimmer potentiometers. Designed for space-constrained applications in harsh environments, the Vishay Sfernice TSM41 series features a footprint of just 4 mm x 4 mm, an operating temperature range of -55°C to +140°C, and an IP67 sealing rating.

Compared to the previous generation, the trimmer potentiometers released today offer a 42% reduction in size, allowing designers to save board space and optimize packaging density. Additionally, the TSM41 series offers fine-tuning over a wide resistance range from 10 W to 1 MW, and offers faster setting speeds than single-turn trimmers. Rated at 0.25 W at +85°C, the devices feature both top and side adjustment options, providing flexibility to meet diverse design requirements.

The TSM41 series can be mounted directly on a PCB, enabling automated PCB assembly and setup processes, improving production efficiency while reducing time and costs. The trimmers are fully sealed and can withstand standard circuit board cleaning, ensuring reliability in soldering equipment, power tools, smoke detectors, and HVAC systems.

Samples and production quantities of the TSM41 series are available now, with lead times of 15 weeks.
