On July 16, 2025, Da Da Da Da Da Holdings, a leading international semiconductor component distributor dedicated to the Asia Pacific market, announced that its subsidiary Quanding has launched an AI electronic fence solution based on Qualcomm QCS6490 SoC and Thundercomm Turbox C6490 development board.

Against the backdrop of global security demand upgrading and deep integration of IoT technology, electronic fences, as a new generation of intelligent security solutions, are accelerating their evolution from traditional physical protection to intelligent and data-driven directions. Relying on technologies such as AI and remote communication, electronic fences can accurately identify and predict intrusion behavior, effectively reducing false alarm rates. At the same time, combined with big data analysis, real-time perception and intelligent decision-making of security situations can be achieved. The AI electronic fence solution developed by Da Da Da Da Da Quan Ding based on Qualcomm QCS6490 SoC and Thundercomm Turbox C6490 development board has real-time monitoring and intrusion detection functions, which can bring efficient and flexible intelligent security deployment to industrial, commercial, and smart city fields.

QCS6490 is a high-performance system level chip (SoC) designed for industrial and commercial Internet of Things applications, which supports Wi Fi 6E wireless connection. For advanced Internet of Things equipment requirements, the chip integrates multi camera processing, AI acceleration and edge computing functions, and has excellent performance under low power consumption conditions. In terms of processing performance, the chip is equipped with Qualcomm Kryo? The 670 CPU and Hexagon processor adopt a fusion AI accelerator architecture, which can efficiently process complex operations and real-time data, while providing stable and reliable connectivity capabilities. In addition, QCS6490 has compatibility with multiple operating systems, supporting Android, Linux, Ubuntu, and Microsoft Windows IoT Enterprise, and can flexibly adapt to diverse scenarios such as industrial automation, intelligent security, and smart retail.


 


The Thundercon Turbox C6490 development board is based on the Qualcomm QCS6490 processor and supports Wi Fi 6E, long-range Bluetooth, and optional 5G NR connectivity. It is equipped with five 4-channel MIPI CSI D-PHY interfaces (two of which support 3-channel MIPI CSI C-PHY and can support up to 48M cameras). In addition, the C6490 development board also has rich peripheral interfaces, including concurrent use of USB 3.1 and USB 2.0, as well as PCIE interface, fully meeting the development needs of high-performance AIoT devices. In addition, to support the development of different application scenarios, the Turbox C6490 adopts a modular design, with components including the main IO board, adapter board, audio board, and sensor board, which can help customers accelerate product development and performance verification.

This plan adopts the Yolo NAS pedestrian detection AI model and combines it with manually set warning area functions. When the AI model detects pedestrians, it will mark them. If the pedestrian's marker stays in the warning area for about 1 second, the system will automatically issue a warning and send relevant pictures. To ensure timely notification to relevant personnel, this solution supports integration through Line Notify and other third-party communication applications' backend APIs. With the help of these communication software, relevant personnel can receive real-time warning information and on-site photos, so as to quickly make accurate judgments and take corresponding measures based on the content of the photos.
