SITWEI launches new 3MP automotive grade CMOS image sensor SC326AT

On July 10, 2025, Shanghai, China - SITWEI (Shanghai) Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (stock abbreviation: SITWEI, stock code: 688213) recently announced the launch of the Automotive Sensor (AT) Series 3MP automotive grade image sensor performance upgrade new product - SC326AT. As the first CMOS image sensor in the SITWEI car series products to achieve full process localization, SC326AT is built on SITWEI CarSens XR process technology and adopts a 3.0 μ m single pixel and back illuminated architecture design. It has achieved significant optimization in core performance such as sensitivity, noise suppression, high-temperature imaging stability, and power control, and supports high dynamic range mode up to 120dB and on-chip ISP function, meeting the upgrade needs of car surround view cameras with clear, accurate, and reliable imaging effects. In addition, SC326AT meets the requirements of ISO 26262 ASIL-B automotive functional safety and ISO 21434 automotive network security standards, and with high reliability and security, it helps to upgrade and transform intelligent automotive applications.


Ultra high sensitivity and dynamic range, both low light and backlight are high-definition


The new SC326AT is based on the CarSens XR process technology from STMicroelectronics, with a large pixel size of 3.0 μ m. It has significant advantages in sensitivity, signal-to-noise ratio, dynamic range, and other performance aspects. It can effectively reduce the interference of various complex lighting environments such as low light, backlight, and strong light on the imaging quality of image sensors, providing clear and accurate image information of the surrounding areas of vehicles for intelligent car perception system applications such as 360 ° panoramic imaging.

High sensitivity and high signal-to-noise ratio


SC326AT achieves better sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio while ensuring high-level color performance through single pixel architecture, BSI structure, and material optimization. The peak quantum efficiency (QE) of SC326AT in the visible light band at 520nm is as high as 85%, which can bring brighter and clearer images to surround view cameras even in low light environments such as underground parking lots with insufficient lighting.


High Dynamic Range (HDR)


SC326AT supports PixGain HDR+VS three frame HDR mode, which can achieve a dynamic range of up to 120dB. It can help car cameras capture more details of bright and dark parts of the image, effectively reducing the occurrence of overexposure of bright parts and missing details of dark parts under extreme lighting conditions such as strong light and backlight, thereby improving the accuracy of car imaging system detection and recognition。


 


Excellent noise suppression performance, stable high-temperature imaging


SC326AT is based on the advanced CarSens XR process technology, SFCPixel technology, and optimized design of the readout circuit architecture from STMicroelectronics, achieving performance improvements in noise suppression and high-temperature imaging stability. In maximum gain mode, the fixed noise (FPN) of SC326AT is significantly reduced by about 52% compared to its predecessor, allowing the car camera to capture clearer and cleaner images in low light environments. At the same time, the SC326AT reduces the dark current (DC), DSNU, and white pixel by about 47%, 74%, and 14%, respectively, in a high-temperature environment of 105 ℃. It can provide stable and reliable real-time image information for car cameras when facing long-term high-temperature operating environments.


 


Thanks to Siwei's advanced CarSens XR process technology, the SC326AT image sensor with BSI architecture has achieved excellent low-power performance. In PixGain HDR+VS three frame HDR mode YUV format, the typical power consumption of SC326AT is as low as 350mW or less. Ultra low power consumption performance can help reduce the overall heat generation of the car camera, thereby improving the stability and reliability of the car camera.

On chip Sensor+ISP 2-in-1, further enhancing the quality of surround view images


SC326AT supports on-chip ISP functionality, and its built-in self-developed ISP algorithm covers the entire ISP pipeline of RAW, RGB, and YUV domains, including AGC, AEC, AWB, HDR synthesis, noise reduction, and other functions. It optimizes image clarity, noise, color, and other dimensions to meet the high-quality image requirements of vehicle surround view camera applications.



In addition, SC326AT supports iBGA packaging and is compatible with the previous generation product Pin2Pin, ensuring that customers can seamlessly replace existing hardware designs and accelerate the iterative upgrade of in car surround view camera applications.
